These cacao beans come to us through a unique partnership with Enliven Cacao. Enliven has a long term relationship with this community and uses profit specifically aimed at ending poverty through consensus based community development. Cacao grown in the area is a varietal blend originating from the North Central Mountains of Nicaragua. Cacao is processed with organic methods and beans are sourced through cacao farmers in and surrounding La Colonia, whom have been growing cacao for generations.
