70% Tumpis Cooperative, Tumbes, Perú

At the 2012 Peruvian “Salon de Chocolate”, the Tumpis Cooperative was awarded Best in Show for this year’s crop of organic, fair trade cacao beans from the northwest coastal region of Tumbes. We are very proud to have imported two metric tons of this cacao from a cooperative in northwestern Peru. Our first offering with these beans is a 70% formulation. Its bright, fruit-forward palate has a delightful raisin finish.
