Dark Forest Chocolate

This chocolate is made with the famous Benianos beans from Alto Beni in Bolivia. This extremely rare, wild Beniano genetic strain of cacao originally was wild harvested along the Beni River in the Bolivian Amazon by indigenous tribes. The trees were selected for preservation and now farmers grow them on their own land. The beans are quite small with a soft, sweet flavor of walnut and honey. The mild flavor allows us to bring the cacao percentage up to 75% with very little bitterness. In 2017 this chocolate was given two silver awards from the International Chocolate Awards, in the USA and the Americas divisions.
