This batch of chocolate is made from Criollo cacao cultivated in northwestern Pacific coastal region of Tumbes, Peru. Criollo is an ancient bean that represents only 1% of the world's cacao production. The chocolate has an initial fruitiness of strawberries that changes to a raisin finish.
