The Brazilian Touch in Santa Cruz Mountains: Tiny House Chocolate

Nestled in the scenic Santa Cruz Mountains of California, Tiny House Chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolate company owned and operated by Maiana Lasevicius and Gustavo Hilsdorf, a Brazilian couple who left their corporate careers in São Paulo to pursue their passion for chocolate making. Inspired by Maiana’s father, a skilled chocolate maker in Brazil, they established Tiny House Chocolate in December 2015 to create handcrafted chocolates.

At Tiny House Chocolate, every step of the process is meticulously done by hand, from sourcing the finest cacao beans to crafting unique flavor profiles. Each batch of chocolate is hand-crafted in small quantities, ensuring that the rich, pure taste shines through in every bite.

In Maiana and Gustavo's meticulous process, they pay extra attention to the roasting profiles of each cacao bean. Before any batch, they rigorously test the humidity of each bag, allowing them to precisely tailor the roasting profile curve. This ensures that each bean is roasted to perfection, unlocking its full flavor potential and creating a truly exceptional chocolate experience.

While Gustavo is currently more immersed in production, both Gustavo and Maiana are the masterminds behind the creation of Tiny House Chocolate's inaugural recipes. As dedicated chocolate makers, they share responsibility for crafting the distinctive flavors that define our brand. Together, they poured their passion and expertise into developing our signature recipes, laying the foundation for the exceptional quality and taste that Tiny House Chocolate is known for.

Tiny House Chocolate is dedicated to sustainability and social responsibility, using only organic and ethically-sourced ingredients. Their commitment to quality and craftsmanship has earned them a loyal following. As their motto says: Live Sweet & Eat Great Chocolate!
