India Idukki Hills

Located in the majestic green hills of the Kerela region of India, Idukki Hills is an origin produced by GoGround - a social enterprise led by Ellen Taerwe and Luca Beltrami. GoGround’s centralized fermentation and drying center in the village of Udumbannoor is operated by a team of local Malayalis. They currently work with 80 farmers across Kerela, and are committed to increasing farmer income and providing stability, paying a significant premium for fresh organically certified cacao sourced directly at farmgate. They also help to educate their farmers on sustainable practices. We love this origin for its stark difference from what anyone might call a “chocolate” flavor. This origin is very tangy with hints of all kinds of herbs and spices. We won’t ruin it by putting too many ideas in your head. Idukki Hills is our best selling bar.
